This is for you if you would like to have better boundaries, feel a stronger connection to your body and have a framework to create some rituals for yourself.
This is not a fixed set of practices or a prescription on how to relate to yourself or others - it`s meant to be inspiration that you can take and make your own. If you have wanted to explore journaling, folk herbalism, the tarot and ritual as a form of self-care and commitment to yourself, then this kit will hopefully be a great starting point that you can return to many times.
Here is what`s included:
My intentions for this
As a queer person with intergenerational trauma who has lived in many places I have often struggled to feel grounded and sure of my own boundaries. Finding herbalism and the tarot has helped me in multiple ways because I was able to use these tools and make them my own on a daily basis. One of the things I care about the most is helping people build their own resilience, to feel excited by the more magical aspects of life and to trust their own instincts.
I don`t think that there is a wrong or right way of doing any of this and I don`t see myself as a super experienced expert - I am here to share what has worked for me and I am hoping it might work for others too.
I know that making a start can be daunting and that sometimes even small acts of self-love can feel impossible when our energy and resources are limited, so I kept these ideas simple and as accessible as possible. You can work with herbs, crystals and a tarot deck if you want to, but it is not a requirement. There is also no need to create an extensive ritual with fancy dancing and complicated spells that lasts for hours (though you can if you want to!) - you might find that you just want to carve out a little more quiet time for yourself here and there and that you will pick up some new tools to ground and protect yourself.
As a tarot reader and ritual maker I support soft folks in reclaiming embodiment, intuition, a connection to nature and everyday magic through my project Daydreaming Wolves. Being able to do this work really is my wildest dreams coming true.
My practices around folk herbalism, tarot, journaling, movement and creative expression are trauma sensitive, queer and body positive and as inclusive and accessible as possible because to me healing is both political and interconnected.
By day I also run a web design and tech agency named Yarrow Digital that supports small businesses in building heartfelt, sustainable online platforms made to hold big dreams and beautiful communities. I specialise in custom made WordPress sites as well as easy to understand tech support and I also run a low cost DIY business training.
